The purpose of teaching and learning the Spanish Language Skills in 3rd Grade is the development of the student’s communicative competence, attending to the processes of comprehension and production of oral and written language.  In this case, we will choose Activities to learn, practice, and review in the classroom are intended to provide students with a variety of learning options in addition to a standard unit of instruction.  These are often used after the presentation of important concepts. In addition, students have the opportunity to enhance and strengthen their understanding of these topics through individual experiences.  Students may choose to work on various topics in a skill after the initial teaching of a skill or idea has taken place. Instead, students can focus on certain core skill points after the introductory lesson on a given topic.  To ensure that the information taught in the initial session is absorbed, students may be assigned to different parts of the skills after the introductory session.  It is essential to understand what the skill needs of your students are to assign them precisely the parts where they could improve and strengthen them. We find, for example, reading, math… On the other hand, students can engage in hands-on experiences that match their curiosity and experience level, at their own pace, and within their area of expertise.  Activities during free time, arriving in the morning or offering them as a “free choice” activity during the day where students can make their own interesting discoveries, which correspond to their individual interests.

Teacher Instructions for the practice and use material to work with Language Skills and Activities – Interactive Day Problems during group activities:

1. Print all of the following material, preferably on 8.5”x 11” cardstock. Laminate for durability. 2. Paste page 1 (front page) on the front cover of a folder or on the front of a manila envelope that is at least 10” x 13”.

3. Paste page No. 2 with Instructions and Directions on the back cover of the folder or on the back of the manila envelope.

4. Place the rest of the material (cards or cards with activities inside the folder or the manila envelope, so that they are ready for you to use when you need them.

5. The students should keep a record, preferably a notebook (diary) of their work each day (they must be distributed before your arrival to avoid wasting time in unnecessary transitions)

6. The students will continue working at their desks until you give the signal to stop, and all correct together on the board.

Suggested Material Directions:

1. Choose the activity(ies) you need to practice with your students

2. Project or write them on the board (before your students arrive, to minimize time wasted in transition) Then Read the mandate out loud and explain it to your students. If necessary.

3. Solve or develop and Write an example. Share your answer.

4. Then give your students time to develop it (5-15 minutes depending on the amount).

5. Correct all together. Ensuring the greatest participation of their students.

6. Continue with your next previously scheduled activity.
