Punctuation & Subject – verb – object worksheet.

This resource was created specifically for Grade 5 English FAL but can be used in Grade 4 and 6 as well.

This a three page document containing the following:
1. A worksheet where learners need to fill in the missing punctuation marks. Learners are also required to write three sentences about what they want to be when they grown up (using the necessary punctuation marks). There is also a short explanation reminding the learners when to use which punctuation mark (Full stop, comma, question mark and exclamation mark).

2. An explanation page reminding the learners what a subject in a sentence is, what a verb is and what the object in a sentence is.

3. A worksheet where learners have to identify the subject, verb and object in five sentences. Learners are also required to write six sentences each containing a subject and an object using the verbs provided.
