Resource Description

This illustrated PowerPoint presentation explains the difference between Palaeontology and Archaeology. Palaeontology studies the distant past, and palaeontologists study the fossils of extinct plants and animals. Archaeologists study people, and investigate how they lived over the last 200 000 years. Archaeologists study the things people threw away or left behind them, and uses artefacts to work out what they did, and how they lived.
