Resource Description
This project bundle includes handouts, worksheet and rubrics. The project is designed to take the student on a stylistic analysis journey through bright and vibrant fauvist paintings. The project includes a gallery or museum trip to observe fauvist and/or fauvist inspired artworks, three stylistic analysis exercises, a class presentation and an introduction to South African artists Irma Stern and Olivia Botha. Throughout their journey a focus on colour and the meaning of colour will be made to inspire and influence their personal artmaking in their Visual Journals and their final artworks.
