Resource Description

Multi-sensory approach to handwriting and letter formation. It is important to learn the correct letter formation from the start in order to practise handwriting. By doing so, the correct patterns are established in the brain and letter reversals are prevented. It is very difficult to unlearn the incorrect patterns later. Ensure that the letters are formed the right way the first time!

Letters are divided into groups or families according to the unique characteristics of the letters and the way they are formed.

Compiled by an occupational therapist. Suited for Grade 1 starting to write in lines. Big letters in big lines.
