Our children are surrounded by companies trying to persuade them. This is why persuasive techniques have become more important in high school education. Our children need to be able to not only identify adverts, but be critical of what they are saying. It my several persuasive communication courses we examined how significantly less we are influenced when we realise someone or something is trying to persuade us.
In this lesson you are given step-by-step instructions (for teachers and children) to code an interactive advertisement. There are also several thinking activities for introducing the topic and reflecting at the end.
