Grade 4 Term 1 Geography teaching and learning the curriculum

The teaching and learning focusses on the content of the curriculum planned for Term 1

The following objectives have been identified:

1. Compare different places where people live

2. Discovering different jobs

3. Classify buildings and their importance in different places

4. Explore the roles and uses of roads and footpaths within settlement

5. Exploring the role of landmarks

6. Analyze the basic needs of people

Informal assessment activities and the memo are included per objective

The informal assessment activities address a variety of skills assessed.  Mark allocation is included per question in correlation with the level of difficulty.

Differentiation is addressed by including Project based assignments per objective

The product can be used by the educator to teach the content of the curriculum for term 1

The product can be used by the parent and learner as consolidation in preparation of formal assessment
