R74.75
Resource Description
In today’s busy life, even young children have a lot of information to process and manage. The ability to focus and control themselves involves teaching a child skills which will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
What does paying attention mean? Paying attention is the child’s ability to focus on a person or object while ignoring other interesting things in the environment. It is related to the child’s developing abilities to learn and remember. In order to remember something, the child has to learn about it first. This means that the child has to stop and pay attention.
How does a child learn to pay attention? The ability to pay attention develops over time. This skill can be nurtured and enhanced by helping your child learn to concentrate and pay attention for longer and longer periods of time.
