Resource Description

Use this fun activity with ANY short story, novel, play or history unit. This print and teach handout allows students to choose a character (or historic figure) and fill in a police report. This offense/incident report requires students to collect details from their readings and report the facts. Your students will love the straight fact collection and reporting in a fun way. A part of any police report, also includes a crime/incident-scene artistic sketch. Students from all ages love this. You may also allow the students to fabricate witnesses and evidence not mentioned in the text. This purely depends on the literature. Although this is purely optional.This resource includes two Police Report Styles as well as a matching writing and Sketch Handout.

This resource comes in a printable PDF as well as an editable Google Slide. Make changes as you feel is best for your class! You can print it out and provide the organizers to your students, or allow them to make a copy and fill it in digitally.
