Resource Description

This resource is aimed mainly at Grade 4 pupils although may be appropriate for younger or older children based on the teacher’s judgement. It outlines a methodical approach to working out an acceptable approximation of the area of irregular shapes using simple, common sense steps.

It includes a detailed PowerPoint which explains the process , and a worksheet for practise. The worksheet comes with a memo.
