In term 1, Gr 8 Creative Arts learners look at environmental and social issues.
This is an English and Afrikaans resource.

This task guides them through the first few steps of research and writing the basic plot of a short drama.
It includes:
Space to define social and environmental issues
Space to identify social and environmental issues
Two mindmaps to brainstorm ideas around the issues
A page to write the basic plot of a story
A page to define the Who? What? When? Where? Why? and Who? (the audience)

After working through these pages, learners are empowered to start writing their own drama for their end-of-term performance for marks.
