Resource Description

Use this for your grade R or 1 learners to practice or reconsolidate their sense of sequencing or patterns. We found that the instruction giving process was a bit tricky and learnt that it was easier to ask our learners to take out three or four different colour crayons each time we started a new pattern block. It was very much a step-by-step process, but really helped us gauge where our kids were within this topic. More advanced learners can also do a three shape pattern with corresponding colours, but we recommend that for the shape patterns, lower ability levels stick to using just a pencil or black twisties without colouring them in, otherwise they tend to become a bit confused. It’s all about adapting it to fit your class’s needs!
