Resource Description

This resource contains high-frequency and sight words, a revision page and an alphabet chart.

These words appear most commonly at the foundational level. While some words are tricky to spell, others do not follow regular spelling patterns and cannot be sounded out (sight words). The latter needs to be memorised. This is where repetition (read, write, say it, colour it etc) plays an important role.

The individual student level will determine the pace, but 5 words a week (at the foundation level) is pretty good!

The resource is designed to engage young learners and reinforce word spelling.
