30 Seconds: The Accounting Vocabulary Game

This is a vocabulary game which is a variation of the board game ’30 seconds’. This activity gets the learners to familiarize themselves with basic accounting words (Asset, General Ledger, Net Profit, etc), while having fun in teams. Learners describe a word/phrase on their card to their team without saying the actual word on the card, and their team has to guess the word being described. The teacher may replace the words on the cards to align with what the learners have been taught. The teacher can also re-use the idea behind this game over and over again, with different vocabulary, depending on the level and subject of the class.
